International conference for the study of internet addiction to take place in Greece in June 2016

elife2016In an era in which the Internet has become an overwhelming environment for learning, research, entrepreneurship, communication and entertainment, the Hellenic Association for the Study of Internet Addiction Disorder, a leading community and a global pioneer in internet research, will organise the 5th International Interdisciplinary Conference eLIFE2016. The conference will be the culmination of a series of events pertaining to four-day thematic festivities around the area of ​​Lake Plastira, from 23 until 26 June 2016.

The central theme throughout the event is the integration of new technologies in our lives. In particular, eLIFE2016 will be attended by distinguished scholars and researchers from all over the world, focusing on Internet addiction, cybercrime, the impact of technology on society, and the applications of virtual and augmented reality in Health and everyday lives. The parallel program includes the 1st eLIFE kids Congress, the first Conference for children, where 400 pupils aged 11-13 will be trained in positive Internet use and behavior. Alongside the conference program, a number of musical and art events will create an alluring experience for adolescents and teenagers.

The venue is the Kazarma lake resort & spa, a new 5-star hotel and conference center with first-class hospitality facilities for up to 1000 people. The eLIFE2016 conference, which aspires to consolidate collaboration with China, will be held under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
