COSCO announced the official results for the container throughput in July 2016 in ports it controls worldwide. In the port of Piraeus, this throughput was 15,2% higher this July in comparison to the same month last year. Additionally, the throughput in the first seven months of 2016 shows a 14,2 increase in comparison to the same period in 2015. Specifically, more than 2 million TEUs have been already transported in 2016 while the number last year (from January until July) was approximately 1,7 million.
