In an interview he gave to Sputnik International, Greek Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations George Tsipras said that Greece will improve relations with China and Russia if SYRIZA wins the election of 20 September 2015. He clarified that this policy will be placed in the context of Greece’s European orientation. In particular, Mr Tsipras said: ‘The development of relations with other countries – with Russia, China, etc – these are fields for which SYRIZA is committed to do, because we want to diversify our international political and economic relations without getting out of the eurozone or the European Union’.
