A public art show meant to raise awareness for missing children opened at the Deji Plaza in Najing, capital of east China’s Jiangsu Province on 10 June 10 2015. All 61 oil paintings are portraits of children reported missing in China. The artist, Li Yueling, painted the portraits based on archetypes of missing children. The works, accompanied with related videos and captions, tell visitors the stories of the missing children in the paintings. Along with raising awareness for missing children, the art show aims to promote child safety and help find the children depicted in the paintings.
