Giving an interview to CNBC and journalist Dody Tsiantar, Dr George Tzogopoulos was asked to comment on the result of the recent visit of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Russia. According to Tzogopoulos the Greek Premier ‘achieved almost nothing’ and the importance of his meeting with President Vladmir Putin had been exaggerated in the international media discourse. ‘The only bright spot’, as he said, was that the visit ‘provided encouragement to Russian companies to participate in privatization bids for Greek assets down the road’ ‘But the EU has the last word’, he clarified.
