In an article he wrote for China Radio International George Tzogopoulos attempted to assess perspectives for the future of Sino-Greek relations. In his view, there are three conditions which are critical for the improvement of the bilateral relationship. The first is the implementation of necessary structural reforms by the new Greek government to practically guarantee the stay of Greece in the eurozone. The second is the completion of the privatisation of the Piraeus Port Authority as well as the compliance of COSCO with European standards. And the third is the set up of a final plan of co-operation between Athens and Beijing by the new Greek government.
