Writing in Parapolitika newspaper on Saturday 25 July 2015 George Tzogopoulos analyses how China is currently interpreting the Greek crisis. As he wrote, China keeps a wait and see stance in order to monitor whether the privatization of the Piraeus Port Authority will normally take place. According to Tzogopoulos the future of COSCO’ investment in Piraeus will be the decisive factor to determine if more Chinese companies will do business in Greece. Above all, however, he focused on Beijing’s main will which is for Greece to remain in the euro. Such an evolution will protect the integrity of the eurozone.
