The third EU-China Summer school took place this July and August in Athens and Spetses. This summer school was organised by the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE), the Europa-Institut of the University of the Saarland (EI), and the European Center of Economic and Financial Law (ECEFIL) of Panteion University in Greece for the 3rd time.
A total number of 18 Chinese students had the opportunity not only to attend courses on European integration, Greek history and international relations but also to enjoy a programme of additional activities. They – inter alia – visited the Greek Parliament, the Acropolis, the Greek Archaelogical Museum and the Panatheanic Stadium. Founder of chinaandgreece.com, George Tzogopoulos spoke to the Chinese students on Sino-Greek relations and explained the reason bilateral relations are of increased significance during the ongoing crisis. Among others, he explained why China is interested in the Greek crisis and why its approach is highly similar to that of the United States.
