Delivering a speech at the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly on Africa’s development in New York, China’s Deputy Permanent Representative Wang Min called for joint international efforts to fight Ebola. As Xinhua news agency reported, Wang Min said: ‘The international community must join hands to help the West African countries cope with the Ebola epidemic…Countries should increase assistance to Africa to help it enhance capacity building in public health’. Additionally, During the Asia-Europe Meeting Summit in Milan, Italy, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said that China will provide at least 100 million RMB (16 million US dollars) worth of additional aid to help West Africa fight the deadly disease, including 60 ambulances, 100 motorcycles, 10,000 prevention care packages, 150,000 sets of personal protective equipment.
