Writing his regular article for Deutsche Welle, German journalist and author Frank Sieren argues that Chinese authorities were highly interested in behind-the-scenes information about the EU agreement with Greece. In particular, he refers to talks which took place in Beijing on the occasion of the recent visit of German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel. These talks gave the opportunity to Chinese politicians to learn more on the subject. According to Sieren, China plans to expand its investments in Greece.
