From Monday 11 May 2015 until Thursday 21 May 2015 China and Russia will hold first joint Mediterranean naval drills. In particular, a total of nine ships, including three from China, will take part in the ‘Joint Sea 2015’ exercise. Since China’s Defense Ministry made the announcement on 30 April , the exercise hasdrawn intense media attention over its political and military implications.
