In a well-informed article written by correspondent of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) Hendrik Ankenbrand in Shangghai, the journalist explains that China could help Greece via investments in the future. By interviewing Chinese scholars who are experts on that issue, he argues that it will be hard for China to intervene in an inner-European crisis and provide direct financial assistance. He also writes that Beijing might finance infrastructure works in Greece by using reserves from an amount of $62 billion aiming at continuing the ‘One Belt One Road’ initiative.
