euchinaOn the occasion of the 40th anniversary of EU-China diplomatic relations, President of the European Council sent a letter to China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang. In this letter, he extended his warm congratulations and best wishes to the success of the common path to take the EU-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new level. As Daniel Tusk wrote in the letter: ‘In the past 40 years, the relationship between the EU and China has been making huge strides on wide-ranging areas including trade and investment, foreign policy, environment protection and people-to-people exchanges. We are confident in the foundations built over the years to deepen our constructive work to promote peace, security, prosperity, rule of law, social justice, green development and human rights. The 17th EU-China Summit in Brussels will provide the opportunity to further advance the implementation of our EU-China 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation.  I am looking forward to meeting you on this occasion.’
