Zou Xiaoli was the first ambassador of a foreign country to meet with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras after the snap election of 20 September 2015. The meeting took place on 25 September 2015 – before the meeting of the latter to the USA. The new Greek government considers the improvement of Sino-Greek relations a priority. Nevertheless, their course will be defined by its will to practically welcome foreign investments in the country and continue the policy of privatisations.
